Welcome to SpendNestly. These Terms of Service ("Terms") act as a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and SpendNestly ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our mobile application, website, and related backend services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use or access the SpendNestly application.

1. Description of Service

SpendNestly is a financial utility application designed to help users track personal expenses, split group bills, manage friend ledgers, maintain balances, and extract expense data from receipt images using OCR and AI-powered technology.

2. User Accounts and Responsibilities

• Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By creating or using an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.
• Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
• Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate and truthful information when recording shared expenses and settlements.

3. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct

You agree to use SpendNestly strictly for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the Service for fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorized purposes.
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or unlawful receipt content.
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate other users through groups or comments.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or breach the security of our application or APIs.

4. Receipt Scanning & AI OCR

SpendNestly uses Google's Gemini API and OCR technologies to extract text from receipts. Automatically extracted amounts and dates are provided for convenience only and may contain errors. You are strictly responsible for reviewing and verifying all extracted information before saving it.

5. Subscriptions and Payments (Pro Plan)

SpendNestly offers optional recurring premium subscriptions ("Pro Plan") on a monthly or annual basis:

• Google Play Billing & App Store: All subscription purchases and recurring renewals are handled securely by Google Play Billing on Android and Apple App Store on iOS. SpendNestly does not store your credit card or bank details on our servers.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled in Google Play / App Store account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle.
• Refunds: Subscription payments and refunds are governed by Google Play / App Store refund policies and applicable law.

6. Debt Tracking and User Disputes

Debt calculations and balance summaries provided by SpendNestly are strictly calculation aids based on user entries. SpendNestly does not independently verify whether an expense or debt is authentic, and we are not liable for disagreements or unpaid debts between users.

7. Account Deletion & Termination

You may delete your account at any time using the Delete Account feature in the mobile application or by visiting our Account Deletion Page. In cases of severe abuse or fraud, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPENDNESTLY IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, USER DISPUTES, OR THIRD-PARTY SERVICE DOWNTIME.
