Account & Data Deletion

You have full control over your personal data. Follow the instructions below to permanently delete your SpendNestly account and all associated personal information.

Permanent Action

Account deletion is irreversible. Once processed, your profile, personal expenses, receipt history, and active Pro subscription access cannot be recovered.

Method 1 (Instant)

Delete Your Account Within the Mobile App

If you have the SpendNestly application installed on your Android or iOS device, you can delete your account immediately:

  1. Open the SpendNestly app and log in to your account.
  2. Tap on your Account / Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Scroll down to the Security & Danger Zone section.
  4. Tap on Delete Account and confirm your choice. Your account and personal profile will be deleted immediately.
Method 2 (Web / Email Request)

Request Deletion if App is Uninstalled

If you have already uninstalled the app or do not have access to your mobile device, submit an account deletion request to our support team:

🗑️ What Data is Permanently Deleted

  • Your full name, email address, and profile photo.
  • Authentication credentials, passwords, and active login sessions.
  • Device push notification tokens (FCM tokens).
  • Personal expense and debit/credit ledger records.
  • Uploaded receipt images and extracted OCR data.

⏳ What Data May Be Retained

  • Shared Group Transactions: Historical group bill splits are retained as anonymized entries (e.g. labeled "Former Member") so other members' balances and financial integrity remain accurate.
  • Tax & Billing Invoices: Subscription payment receipts are retained as required by financial and tax compliance laws.

Retention & Purge Timeline

Upon receiving your request, all personal identification records are immediately detached and removed from production databases. All encrypted backup copies are permanently purged within 30 days, strictly complying with Google Play Developer Policies, GDPR, and CCPA regulations.
